Americana was all the rage in the mid-70's. 1976 being the Bicentennial and all. Stars and Stripes were on everything from bedsheets to Pacers! I'm surprised that the current Republican glitterati haven't tried to resurrect this unfortunate trend of dressing up your kids in patriotic getups.
