He's probably got a jar of something behind his back, I just know it.
the simplest explanation is usually the correct one ! I think he — and all the people around him — didn't knwo the most basic thing in the world : how to wear glasses. (I've search on google, and it seems to be a very difficult question since I have 29,200,000 results !)

tipping your glasses forward eliminates reflection on the lenses when a photo is taken...maybe that's why. They went overboard though...
Thank you Anonymous. I had this 'trick' done in one of my school portraits and it did NOT look right. Plus, where are Isreal's pupils?
