The family almost didn't take the photo due to the utter disappointment they had in their son's perfect vision
The boy dodged the glasses, but he wasn't able to dodge the ugly... Poor kid.
Cookie just knows that the boy was adopted.
My first thought: Oh, the Log Lady (Twin Peaks) in her younger years.
Dad almost made it into The Village People. Then they decided that "Nerdy Appliance Salesman" didn't quite fit in with the rest of the characters. He kept the Castro St. moustache as a reminder of what could have been!
