Great photo! Kids will be kids, one of my favorite photo's from childhood has me sporting a chicken pox scab. It's more memorable and marks a time and place in history. Making portraits too perfect is silly.
I agree with Bob. When we look back at photos of our youth, they are a snapshot of a moment in time. If we had a scrape, a bruise or a zit, that's what we looked like at that time. Every picture tells a story.
Arthur's family were a little concern when he came back home late that night from one of his "club" meetings. He would not discuss his "club" any further. He only replied, "Yeah, you should see the other guy."
And the next day this photo was taken to document this momentous occasion.

Damn! The parents could have used blemish cover on that scrape on the kid's nose before having his photo taken. Poor parenting...cute kid!
