I just picked up a nifty pair of spectacles rather similar to Janis' at a flea market the other day. I like to wear them whilst cooking and dream of Donna Reed.
She went to secretary school and learned to take dictation via shorthand, stayed with the company for thirty years, worked herself up the ladder to Executve Assistant, and retired with an enormous golden parachute when she showed her boss the photos she had been taking over the years.

I believe their called harlequin glasses or horn-rimmed glasses, not cat glasses.
