Incredible hair. Modeled after the "Peoples" play-set figurines, or did this dynamo fashion that merchandising trend?

Oh, the good old days. Looks more like a painting than a picture though.

How refreshing it is to see a nice, clean-cut young man from 1968, rather than a dirty, hairy, smelly, no good hippie.

Only steers and queers are named Lawrence. And he don't look like he's from Texas.

only faggots and sailors are called laurence

What is the point of moderating the posts if you're going allow people to post comments like the ones about "steers and queers" and "faggots and sailors"?

i do moderate comments like that, "anonymous", so that people like you can ask that smart question.

In case you didn't know, both those phrases are citations from "Full Metal Jacket

Love the lazy right eye too...it's like something is happening peripherally that Larry just knows would be naughty to look at...especially during a photo shoot...but he just could not resist the urge!

Actually, the "steers and queers" quote did not originate with "Full Metal Jacket." It goes back at least as far as "An Officer and a Gentleman." Presumably it comes from a common 3d source (i.e., actual drill sergeants). But in any case, who cares if it was used in a movie? It's still bigoted. Just because somebody said it in a movie doesn't mean it's not also an anti-gay slur in this context.

even if the first quote is not originated in FMJ, it is used in that movie too.
the fact that they're quotes makes quite a difference to me. if you know the original context they are used in, you also know who says them, and understand they can't be taken seriously, or be given any importance.

My grandparents had a couch with the same print as his jacket. It scared me then, too.
