It's not your fault, Flip. That era was one for much experimentation. You can't have good fashion sense these days without examples of past horrible styles to guide you in the right direction.
liike the glasses!
All down hill from there... I still wear bow ties when I can, but I tie my own now.
Dang, i wish my name was Flip!
AWWW! I <3 Flip!
i love this kid!! He looks like he could have been friends with David & Amy Sedaris.
Meee-YOWZA! This is my favorite so far. Flip, you were adorable! You looked like every other hipster man-child who lives in Silver Lake, CA (a suburb of L.A., as you might have guessed).
Is that a velvet bow tie? Awesome. 1971 was a good year indeed.
Exactly how many times do you think he got beaten up?
When Flip's classmates all agreed he was the class clown, he apparently took it a little too seriously!
this is a great pic!! if this pick was taken today you would be a cool indie-rock-on kid, LOVE IT
looks like a freakin serial killer man...
Flip, I love you man! I want to see a current picture. I would bet you grew into a hottie.
I've seen his current pic on his science website. Get ready to be disappointed.
That's IT. I demand a FLOPPY VELVET BOW TIES tag for this blog.
Is that the kid from The Sandlot?
